HEALTHY EATING WHILE PREGNANT

Ok, so I'm not a mommy, but I found this great article for the pregnant mommies-to-be.

Healthy eating in your pregnancy and enough of it, is very important for your baby to grow and develop.  You should consume about 300 MORE calories per day than you did before you became pregnant. Here are some recommendations for healthy eating while pregnant:

-eat a variety of foods and get all your nutrients
-try and get 6-11 servings of daily breads and grains, 2-4 fruits, 4 or more servings of vegetables, 4 servings of dairy and 3 servings of protein
-choose foods that are high in fiber such as whole grain breads, cereals, pasta and rice
-choose at least one source of Vitamin C daily such as an orange, grapefruit, strawberries or papaya
-choose at least one good source of folic acid everyday such as dark leafy greens, chickpeas or lima beans
-avoid soft cheeses, and choose hard cheese instead
-avoid alcohol or cigarettes during pregnancy
-limit caffeine to one cup/per day and make it decaf

As for Morning Sickness, try and eat:
-dry crackers
-cereal
-pretzels

And try to remember to get all of your sources of vitamins and nutrients daily....

Good Luck
