Nicole Richie is an American actress, author and socialite. She was born on September 21, 1981. Richie was adopted as a baby by Lionel Richie and his wife, Brenda at the time. She has had a very privileged life and grew up best friends with Paris Hilon. The two of them starred in five seasons of The Simple Life, a reality show following their lives in different parts of America.
Richie is also the author of The Truth About Diamonds, which is a semi autobiographical book about her life and growing up in Hollywood. In April 2007, she started a jewelry line and in June 2008 she launched it House of Harlow, named after her daughter.
She has a one year old daughter with her love, Joel Madden. She is now pregnant with their second child. Richie has had her share of problems from a fall out with best friend Paris to some legal matters, and has managed to really change her life around and stay positive. Nicole Richie is a Fun Fearless Female.
