DO FRIENDSHIPS FADE WHEN YOU FIND THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE?

Apparently there's a price to pay for falling in love- and it will cost you two friends according to an unpublished Oxford University study. A survey was conducted which asked people how their inner circles changed when they fell in love. The conclusion? Brian Dunbar, an evolutionary anthropologist found that people have only 5 confidantes at any given time and in order to make room for their new lover, the circle shrinks and someone gets left behind.

It's something that I think all of us have experienced at one point or another. One of our girlfriends meets the man of her dreams and all of a sudden flips the script and disappears without a trace. Speaking from personal experience, I know that love definitely changes a woman- on levels of all kinds. Realistically if the relationship is serious "he" will slowly turn into a priority, but I think a woman who has a firm grip on who she is will not sacrifice treasured friendships for any man who just passes through for a few months, years or a even a life time. And hey, if she disses you then she wasn't a good friend anyway right?

Do you ever wonder why men stick firmly to their "Bro's over hoes" golden rule, while some women tend to delicately place their friendships on hold while they get lost in euphoric bliss?

No really, think about it. Most men live by it and seem to hold their friendships it to high standards, meanwhile most if not some women have a habit of damaging friendships in a desperate attempt to make their fairytale a reality.

Which is what brings us to this post and also poses some great questions. Has love ever changed you in a way that you weren't proud of? Have you every fell for someone so deeply that the people around you didn't matter? Or have you experienced the other side of the fence and have been able to successfully balance both love and friendships?

I've always been really good at maintaing my friendships during relationships. Let me know YOUR feedback!
