THE WOMEN OF THE WHITE HOUSE

Today is a very special day. Michelle Obama and Jill Biden are the new women of the White House. With their classic fashion sense and strong confidence, these women are definitely turning heads in Washington.

Michelle Obama, born January 17, 1964 is an American attorney and former Senator from Illinois. She will be the first African-American First Lady of the United States. She was born and grew up on the South Side of Chicago and graduated from Princeton University and Harvard Law School.  After completing her education, she returned to Chicago and accepted a position with the law firm Sidely Austin.  She met Barack Obama when she joined Sidely Austin.  They later married and have two daughters, Malia and Sasha.

Dr. Jill Biden is an American educator and the next Second Lady of the United States.  Jill was born in Hammonton, New Jersey. Jill enrolled in the University of Delaware, where she declared English as her major.  She met Joe Biden when she was a senior at Delaware.
They married in 1977 and have one daughter and two sons.
